The term "guitar ensemble" sounds suspicious. This ensemble is like a Big Band. Each guitar has its own role, to read from the page and play in concert, something usually done with wind instruments. It's a challenge for guitarists.
This ensemble started as four independent guitarists – joined by the bass and drums, they produce a unified and coordinated sound.
