Winner of the Polish Minister of Culture's award for the promotion of young Polish artists (Young Poland award), the 27-year-old musician studied guitar at the music school in Koszalin under Dariusz Schmidt and then at the Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw under Ryszard Bowschko. Kowalski performs frequently with the Warsaw Philharmonic, in the USA, and in China.
