אמנית ירושלמית בין תחומית, מרצה וחוקרת אקדמית. יעלי יוצרת בתחום הפרפורמנס, במאית וכוריאוגרפית עם התמחות במחזות זמר.
בעלת תואר דוקטור מהחוג לאנגלית באוניברסיטה העברית בירושלים שם קיבלה את מלגת גרוס ומלגת ההצטינות הופמן . תחום ההתמחות שלה הוא מודרניזם אירי ובמיוחד הסופרים ג׳ימס ג׳ויס, סמואל בקט ופלאן אובריין בהתמקדות בחומריות של הדימוי, המפגש בין טקסט וגוף, מופעים של הא-אנושי ותיאטרון דיגיטלי.
יעלי בוגרת של הסדנא להכשרת רקדנים של להקת המחול ורטיגו ושל תכנית ״קליידוסקופ״ לתיאטרון חזותי לילדים של תיאטרון הקרון. כמופיענית-יוצרת הופיעה ביצירות תיאטרון-מחול ופרפורמנס בפסטיבלים רבים בארץ בינהם ״בין שמים לארץ״, חוצות של ״פסטיבל עכו,״ ״פסטיבל בת ים לתיאטרון רחוב״, ״ספריה בלילה״ ״פסטיבל תיאטרון בובות הבינלאומי,״ ״מדרום״ ״פסיבל מחול שלם הבינלאומי״ ועוד .
יעלי פועלת כבמאית עם התמחות במחזמר וקברט מעל 15 שנים וביימה בארץ עשרות הצגות קאנוניות בינהן:
