The Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, in a unique collaboration with the Musethica program,
is pleased to invite outstanding string players to apply for our new flagship ensemble – a
representative string quartet. The quartet will consist of leading young string players in their field.

Who is it for?
The program is designed for outstanding string players with a deep affinity for chamber music, who
wish to launch their professional careers, combine artistic excellence with social engagement, and
enjoy exceptional professional opportunities.
* Please note – applications can be submitted as individuals or as an established quartet.
Selection Process
- Number of spots is limited; acceptance is subject to registration at the Academy and passing a selective audition.
- Entrance examinations for the David Gritz String Department will be held on September 7, 2026.
About Musethica
Musethica is an excellence program that integrates a large number of performance opportunities as an inseparable part of its educational method. It provides outstanding young musicians (in advanced training stages) with numerous opportunities to learn and practice performing to an audience—opportunities that are generally unavailable within traditional education frameworks.
Through this program, Musethica makes classical music accessible to audiences excluded from traditional concert halls across the country, with an emphasis on populations with special needs.
Musicians regularly perform dozens of concerts a year in various institutions, bringing unique cultural experiences with therapeutic effects to populations that would not otherwise have access to them. The community involvement of these young musicians thus becomes an essential and integral part of their musical education. The concerts take place within the institutions themselves, free of charge, in various peripheral regions, thereby allowing full accessibility to every listener, regardless of their limitations. The encounter between the musicians and the audiences generates mutual enrichment and benefits both parties: musicians receive numerous opportunities to perform, and listeners gain exposure to classical music and its beneficial effects.
