Dina Turgeman (Grossfogel), of blessed memory, was one of Israel’s most prominent piano teachers. She performed chamber music with leading musicians from Israel and around the world, while also dedicating herself to piano pedagogy and developing unique teaching methods. Dina Turgeman taught generations of students, many of whom are among Israel’s finest musicians.
The competition and the awarding of prizes are made possible thanks to the generous donation of the Turgeman family, in memory of Dina and Mordechai Turgeman.
The competition is held in two stages and is open to all chamber ensembles studying at the Academy, consisting of three or more players, as well as duo ensembles that are part of the Chamber Music Program for Outstanding Students.
