Cesare Zanfini

Cesare Zanfini (born in Milan in 1989) is an Italian-Israeli violist and violinist. He currently holds the position of Viola Tutti with Second Chair at the Carlo Felice Opera Theatre in Genoa and regularly collaborates with leading orchestras in Europe and abroad.

He studied in Italy, Austria and Israel, graduating from the Conservatorio “G. Verdi” in Milan and later earning further degrees at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance and the Conservatorio “N. Paganini” in Genoa.  

Throughout his career he has performed with ensembles such as the Filarmonica della Scala, BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia and the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, alongside an active chamber music and teaching activity.

Zanfini is the recipient of several prizes in international competitions, including First Prize at the ISCART International Music Competition
