Barak Mori is an Israeli double bassist, composer, and educator. He is regarded as a prominent and highly valued double bassist on the Israeli and international jazz scene. Born in Tel Aviv in 1975, he studied at Thelma Yellin High School of the Arts and later moved to New York to attend The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music. Over nearly two decades there, he built an international career as a sideman and collaborator, working with musicians including Eric Reed, Benny Green, Peter Cincotti, Eli Degibri, Madeleine Peyroux, Maya Dunietz, Anat Cohen, and Avishai Cohen. Since returning to Israel, he has continued to perform internationally with a wide range of artists while teaching at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance.
