'Ani Kol' (I Am Voice) is a project aimed at encouraging the composition and performance of new art vocal music, now in its fourth year.
The ten works presented to the audience this year were selected from seventy submissions by Israeli composers through an anonymous submission process. The concert will feature seven world premieres and three Israeli premieres by male and female composers from diverse backgrounds—some already experienced, and others exceptional emerging talents.
The Jerusalem Chamber Choir, soprano Shlomit Leah Kovalski, mezzo-soprano Mai Ezgi, the 'Ani Kol' vocal octet, and several solo instrumentalists will perform contemporary Hebrew music. The program reflects the influences of traditional and modern Hebrew texts, diverse compositional techniques, and contemporary Israeli life.
All performers rehearse directly with the composers themselves, resulting in brave and dynamic performances held to the highest professional standards of new music. The audience is invited to experience a program that forms a vibrant mosaic of musical styles, showcasing the voice in all its colors.
