The Younes and Soraya Nazarian Program of Excellence in Chamber Music

The Nazarian Chamber Music program is the flagship program of the Academy's Faculty of Performing Arts. Thanks to the support of the Y & S Nazarian Family Foundation, through its regional office in Israel, the Ima Foundation, each year the Academy awards full tuition scholarships to excellent students of chamber music from Israel and abroad. After careful selection, the scholarship recipients are divided into chamber music groups and receive weekly coachings with JAMD staff, as well as master classes with international guests. Performance workshops are held through out the year with the guidance of the program's director Mr. Zvi Carmeli, and the Academy hosts the annual Dina Turgeman z"l competition in chamber music. In addition, the ensembles are invited to perform in important concerts in Israel as well as abroad – where they represent the Academy.  In recent years, students of the program have traveled to Italy, Germany, Hungary and Canada.
