As one of the events of the Jerusalem Arts Festival, the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance is staging Claudio Monteverdi’s opera “L’Incoronazione di Poppea” (The Coronation of Poppea, libretto: Giovanni Francesco Busenello).

Full stage production in the framework of the Israel Festival, with the participation of singers from the Vocal Department, the Ankor Junior Choir conducted by Rachel Inbar, and an instrumental Ensemble of the Performing arts faculty

Opera Workshop

The main participants in the Opera Workshop are students of the Vocal Department. The workshop stages at least one complete opera each year in cooperation with the Academy Orchestra. Singers of the workshop have participated in various operas, such as The Magic Flute, Don Giovanni, The Marriage of Figaro, The Impresario, Dido and Aeneas, and La Boheme. Many of the workshop's graduates have joined opera companies in Israel and abroad.
