The Costa Rican Minister of Culture, Manuel Obregón, and the Costa Rican Ambassador, Rodrigo Carreras,visited JAMD on Wednesday, November 02, 2011. The Minister is also a composer and a Jazz Pianist, and graduated from the Royal Conservatory of Music in Madrid.
Prof. Ilan Schul, JAMD president, greeted them and explained about the JAMD Musical institutions – The Conservatory, the High School and the Academy.
The Minister and the Ambassador were joined by four Costa Rican music students, currently studying at JAMD, and after hearing them, the Minister joined them in playing a variety of South-American tunes of different rhythms.
