Teaching Areas: 

Dr. Dana Bar is a dance researcher, dance creator, dancer, and lecturer at the Academy of Music and Dance in the undergraduate dance program and the graduate dance program. Her research, creation, and teaching fields focus on the analysis of dance works, issues in the representation of movement and dance, anthropology and dance, dance and action on the axis between ritual and performance, transitions between daily movement, including steps and walking and dance, movement notations and the Eshkol-Wachman movement notation, creativity and composition processes in dance, and more. 

Dr. Bar publishes and presents her theoretical and practical work at conferences, in professional journals, and on dance stages in Israel and abroad.

She served in the following positions at the Academy of Music and Dance: Head of the Movement Department (2016-2020), Head of the master’s in Dance Program (2020-2022).
