The Dance Ensemble of the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance serves as a choreographic laboratory for artists from Israel and abroad. Each year, the ensemble creates a new project that brings together dancers, choreographers, and the city of Jerusalem in an intensive process of research and creation, culminating in an experiential performance that is site- and reality-specific.

In June 2019, the ensemble was invited to the Camping Festival in Paris, where it performed works from its flagship project, Body Dance Place. The ensemble includes outstanding dancers from all sectors of Israeli society — Arabs, Jews, secular and religious — and aims to create a new model for learning and artistic creation that combines research, study, creation, and performance.
