Pianist Amit Dolberg is one of Israel's leading performers of new music. Many important composers have written works and dedicated them to Amit, who has premiered them on the concert platform around the world.
Mr. Dolberg is the founder and director of the International Chamber Music Ensemble Meitar, the center for new music, Tel Aviv, The Matan Givol composers competition, the Tedarim M.mus in contemporary music at the Jerusalem academy for music and dance and the CEME international festival for new music and master classes.
He has been a founding member of the Tempera Ensemble with whom he has recently won the Binyamini state prize for best ensemble of the year.
He has performed and made recordings with conductors such as Matthias Pintcher, Ilan Volkov, Avner Biron, Pierre-Andre Valade, Zolt Nagy, Fabian Panisello, Yaron Gottfried and with orchestras and ensembles in Israel, Asia and Europe including the Israel Camerata Orchestra (Jerusalem), the Jerusalem radio Symphony Orchestra, Tel Aviv Soloists, the Israeli symphony orchestra, the National symphony Orchestra Taiwan, the Israeli chamber orchestra Tel Aviv, Plural ensemble and more.
As a chamber musician he has collaborated with numerous ensembles, performing in venues and festivals such as the, Venice Biennale, The Forbidden City concert hall Beijing, New York MATA Festival, Manifeste Pompidou Centre (Paris), RadialSystem (Berlin), Purcell Room (London), Winchester Cathedral (UK), Brighton Festival, Heidelberg Biennale and Warsaw Autumn Festival.
Dolberg is a member of the teaching faculty of the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance.
