Sigal Bergman (1966) holds a BA in Psychology from the Hebrew University, studied dance at the Rubin Academy for Music and Dance Jerusalem, and at the EDDC in Holland.
She is a certified Alexander Technique teacher ACAT, NYC 2002. From 1995-2009 she lived in New York City, creating her own dance works and performing extensively as a dancer. Since moving to Tel Aviv in 2009, she is part of the improvisation collective ’Oktet’, joined the faculty at the ‘Hakvutza’ dance school, and at the Jerusalem Robin Academy for Music and Dance.
Her recent work include Revert to Manual (2018) a solo lecture performance; Pale Fire (2016), a full evening duet and BACKTRACK a video-dance featured at East Jerusalem’s Museum on the SeamHer choreographies were supported by multiple grants from Mifal HaPais Council for the Culture and Arts, the Rabinowitz Foundation for the Arts, and by residencies at Kelim Choreography Center,at Stage-Center Tel Aviv, and at Yasmeen
Godder studio. Her works were presented across Israel and internationally.
