Shani Tamari Matan is a dancer, a creator, and dance teacher. She is a graduate of the Visual Theater School, with both a Bachelor of Dance and a Master of Dance degrees from the Academy of Music and Dance in Jerusalem. Among others with whom she has danced are the choreographic creators Barak Marshall, Dafi Eltabab, Efrat Rubin and Osnat Kellner. Shani Tamari writes about and comments on dance in various platforms. Presently,

she is a lecturer in the Academy of Music and Dance in Jerusalem and in the VTS,  and also in the graduate program at the Hebrew University in Folklore and Folk Culture Studies. She is also a member of the dance section of the Ministry of Culture of the State of Israel.
