Reconnections - The Art of Ensemble Playing in Jerusalem and Budapest

A few days ago a delegation of students from the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance came back from a concert tour in Hungary, held as part of the 25-year renewal of ties between Hungary and Israel. The students were all part of the Soraya and Younes Nazarian Chamber Music Excellence.

The Academy’s new Center of Technology

Last year a new technological center was opened at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance. It was established with the assistance of the Ted Arison Family Foundation, Wolf and Ruth Lesser, the Bracha Foundation and the Planning and Budgeting Committee.  The center, located in the the New Wing, is headed by Prof. Amnon Wolman.  It includes a sophisticated recording studio, a general computer laboratory, a computer and multimedia laboratory, as well as rooms for private work.

Pamela Hickman's review of the Young Symphonic Orchestra Jerusalem Weimar's concert

The Young Symphonic Orchestra Jerusalem Weimar recently completed a concert tour of Germany and Israel, the final concert taking place in the Henry Crown Symphony Hall of the Jerusalem Theatre on October 3rd 2013. This concerts series was directed by Michael Sanderling. Established in 2011, the orchestra selects its players from outstanding young musicians from the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance and the Liszt School of Music in Weimar.
