Born in 1972 in Israel, Ronen Izhaki is a distinguished Israeli dancer and choreographer specializing in contemporary dance. He is the Head of the bachelor's degree Programs in Dance at the Academy of Music and Dance in Jerusalem. Ronen holds a Master of Music (M.Mus) from the Hebrew University and the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance and is also a graduate of the Leadership Program in Jewish Culture at the Mendel Institute. With a rich background in teaching, Ronen has imparted his knowledge of movement at the Department of Theater at the Hebrew University and the Kibbutzim College in Tel Aviv.

Since 2005, he has been an independent choreographer, showcasing his innovative works at various festivals both in Israel and internationally. Ronen's dance creations are marked by a multicultural approach that forges new connections between the center and the periphery, reflecting diverse influences and perspectives. In 2015, Ronen founded the association "Between Heaven and Earth," a collaborative platform that brings together dancers, musicians, visual artists, intellectuals, and poets. He is also the curator for the "Between Heaven and Earth" festival, which aims to foster contemporary culture and offers fresh narratives within the dynamic landscape of Israeli creativity.
